“Dark years of Marcos dictatorship”

Definitely the dark years of the Marcos dictatorship must not be forgotten…!

Because of his martial law, Ninoy was considered a hero, Cory was considered a saint of democracy and now Noynoy is “His Excellency the President (!)”

Looking back into those dark years, I can’t help wondering, WHAT IF THE MAOIST JOMA SISON AND NPA KUMANDER BERNABE BUSCAYNO (KUMANDER DANTE) WAS ABLE TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT?

I shiver at the thought and it always gives me goose bumps IF THE COMMUNIST SUCCESSFULLY TOOK OVER THE RULE OF OUR COUNTRY, WHERE ARE WE NOW?

Surely, Ninoy will not become a hero(?), Cory will not be considered saint of democracy(?) and definitely Noynoy will not become “His Excellency the President!”

Martial law taught us many things and those lessons learned from the dark years of Marcos dictatorship should serve as our guide in steering our nation towards political stability and economic growth.

With this in mind let us move as one towards making our country achieves political stability and economic growth.
