Mr. Editor,

In South East Asia, Philippines is the only country using the Presidential form of government that only fits rich nations. But even the developed and rich countries in Europe are using the system of governance used by our Asian neighbors.

We have been using this system for more than 25 years and still it doesn’t brings the economic growth and political stability that we need. Sadly, it pushes us further down into economic stagnation and political immaturity.

And the only people enjoying the benefits of this system are the politicians who don’t care for the future of our country as long as the future of their pockets and political power is ensured.

Because of the political immaturity of our people who used their emotion rather than logic in choosing a leader, this system of governance allows an OJT to be at the helm of our country that badly needed to be turned around.

And it is the height of political and organizational stupidity to have or put an OJT as president of a political and/or business organization.

This system of governance makes use of popularity and emotion, rather than leadership abilities and logic, in the selection of our political leaders.

If we really want our children to enjoy the economic growth and political maturity at par with our Asian neighbors, let us change the operating system of our governance to Unicameral Legislative Form of Government that fits our needs; where the chosen leader of our country is the “BEST OF THE BESTS” among his peers!
